Casey Tesmer is joining as our new clay instructor. He will be teaching weekly sessions on Mondays – after school for kids, and in the evenings for adults – as well as monthly classes that will be hands on and fantastic!

Casey Tesmer is a multidisciplinary artist and educator based out of Birmingham, Alabama. He is currently an adjunct sculpture professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham where he has been teaching since 2019. He earned his MFA from Herron School of Art in Indianapolis, Indiana in 2018 with a focus in ceramics and a BA from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2015.
Tesmer is trained in sculpture, but currently concentrates on functional work. He has a passion for advancing students’ knowledge and use of clay as both a sculptural ingredient as well as a funcional foundation.
