Clay Handbuilding Workshop

You know you love to paint pottery, but have you ever thought about making the item, too? In this clay handbuilding workshop we’ll show you how to take a slab of clay and form it into a plate, platter or free-form item. Instruction will include how to add texture to your clay, using stamps, lace or other items.

The first visit, we’ll work on creating our item. Then, after it has dried sloooooowly (this is so it (hopefully) doesn’t warp or crack), we’ll bisque fire it and you’ll return to glaze it. We’ll explore the possibilities for that while you are here, too!

You’ll get an email the week of telling you more about it, so be sure to sign up before September 30.

The class fee covers one larger item, but you can make additional items that evening for a fee.
