Are you wondering exactly why Do*It*Yourself Crafts might need a blog? Well, because we do a lot of cool stuff, and I want to be able to tell you about it.
That’s the reason. Pretty simple. I want to tell you all the stuff that I think is amazing that we do, and I don’t think that our website is the place to do it.
You see, I think a website should be basic and informative. I expect that most people go to our website to get quick information – our address, phone number, and information about booking a party. We are all so busy now, that an overly-complicated website wasn’t what I wanted to present.
But. We do SO MANY COOL THINGS!
We have awesome techniques, and then even more awesome things done with those techniques. I want to share that with you!
We have amazing traditions – some are holiday-centric, but not all. I want to share that with you, too.
I have learned all these cool things in over 17 years of having DIYC (yep, 17 years! Can you believe it?), and I want to share them with you.
These cool things need a place to go. You can dive a little deeper below the surface, learn a little more about the shop, and things you can do here. Eventually, I hope this resource will show you the complete picture of what DIYC is and can be.
This is the home for the blog right now, and I am going to be putting a lot of content up in the next month. After that, we’ll see what y’all are reacting to, and that’s what we’ll do more of. I’m still going to write about things that matter to me, because that’s the stuff that keeps the me going. And I’m going to write about what matters to y’all, because that’s what keeps the store going. Mostly, though, these are the same thing.
